At the end of 2012, the annually held NRS Round Table followed its own tradition and took place in Gut Thansen. NRS/NCS would like to thank all participants for coming and for their involvement in the event.
The seminar was organized on 6th and 7th of December with a wide variety of different topics.
On the first day, among others, Managing Director Mr. Hempel gave a short summary of the recent developments in the shipping market and offered a realistic outlook for the future. The attention was also given to the upcoming MLC 2006 introduction, which is of main interest to all seagoing and shore-based personnel.
On the second day, various workshops like SEEMP, Energy Efficiency, Bunker Management and Sludge handling took place. Very positive feedback was given to workshops dealing with actual case studies, which resulted in some intense and very fruitful discussions between shore-based and seagoing personnel. The second day ended with the NRS Christmas party, joined by all the participants of the Gut Thansen meeting as well as the office staff at the Hamburg Hafencity Zollamt. It had been a perfect closing event in a friendly atmosphere until the early morning hours.
